The Christian lives in anticipation. Constantly hoping for things, seeking to read books to help them along in their Christian walk and many other things, often finding disappointment. Like non-Christians, we have many of the same excitements and the same disappointments. While the world seeks to soothe itself from its’ disappointments by dependence upon parties, drugs and such, how is the Christian to live? Looking at the story of the Israelites when the twelve spies were sent into the land of Canaan and only two returned with a good report, the people crossed the line into the realm of unbelief. They awoke the next day complaining to Moses and clamoring for a new leader. This, after God did more than sufficient amounts of miracles to prove that He was more than able to give them the land. So they were unable to inherit the land…because of their unbelief.
