In doing everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, Christians have obligations to the world and the community of fellowship. As we experience forgiveness and are thankful to Christ, submission is one of the actions of love displayed. Pastor Arnold encourages us to look at submission in the framework of wisdom in Colossians 3:17-24.
We often see love romanticized in the world, but how is biblical love reflected in the people of God? One of the many benefits of being in the Christian community is to put on love and to do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus. Pastor Arnold teaches from Colossians 3:14-17, reminding us to look to Christ to grow in holiness, wisdom, and love one another.
Christianity is often taught by way of following a set of principles or listing do’s and don’ts. It is no wonder that by living in this way, we are not fully satisfied in our walk with Christ. How did those before us live a life of wisdom and order? Pastor Arnold challenges us by looking at our lives from the perspective of Psalm 1. (There are technical difficulties between minutes 12:26 and 15:12.)
