Sermon: The Appeal (Click to download)
Pastor Tony Arnold
Scripture Reference: Psalm 17
May 27, 2007
David’s heart for God is tested over and over again though the circumstances He has placed him in. David can stand before God with confidence, knowing that he had placed his trust in God and he knows that He is the one who tested him. As people in the community of faith, do we have the same heart? Can we we make the same appeal of innocence as David? Pastor Tony Arnold teaches from Psalm 17 the importance of having a heart to continuing trust in Christ for our innocence so we won’t be guilty of charges of this world.
The human heart is never satisfied, longing for objects and people to fulfill our needs. As we continue the journey of life in the community of faith, we have a heavenly Father keeps us safe, provides our daily needs, and reminds us His character is trustworthy. Pastor Tony Arnold teaches from Psalm 16 that we are to look to God alone instead of the things of this world to find joy.

Pastor Tony Arnold
Scripture Reference: Psalm 13

When we wait on the Lord, we experience different emotions and face the challenge of reliance and confidence in our own strength. The blessings that God bestows upon us may not seem like blessings at all at the present time, and His seemingly abandonment of our souls can be quite painful. Pastor Tony Arnold encourages us in Psalm 13 that we all go through struggles and we are to look to God for trust and guide our paths to bring us from undesirable circumstances.
