Is our salvation on display on a shelf or is it on display for the world to see? The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not only for the world but for the community of faith as well. We need to be reminded of Christ’s work on the cross is our foundation for living. Pastor Tony Arnold challenges us in Philippians 1:12-18 to be masters of the Gospel by first demonstrating this within the church and to share the good news with others.
God saw the wickedness of man; this evil was towards one another and to God. We can’t hide from God since He knows our hearts and sees everything we do. Setting our hope on Jesus, we have the choice to change and turn from evil. Pastor Leon Green encourages us in Genesis 6: 5-8, learning from the example of Noah- looking to God for our hearts to be transformed and to walk with Him.
There were times in Jesus’ ministry that He wanted to take time to be alone with the Father. Jesus met the needs of His people then as He does now, and we are to be still and not fear. Pastor Leon Green teaches from Matthew 14:22-33 reminding us the importance of spending time with the Lord so that we can walk in faith during times of distraction.
When things are going well in our lives, we serve God faithfully. Do we have the same level of faith, commitment, and trust in the Lord when things aren’t going so well? Pastor Leon Green looks at Job 40:1-8 and reminds us that humility and repentance before God establishes a deeper faith in His will for our lives.
