Scripture Reference: Acts17:24-27

When we watch the news, there are so many bad things going on it’s a challenge to stay optimistic. It’s amazing to remember that God created all people and determined their time on earth. The Senior Vice President of the Evangelical Free Church of America encourages us in Acts 17:24-27 that no event in our world- good or bad- that does not first pass by the hands of God and that He does not use build His church.
True believers will not be spared by heavy burdens and suffering. When we are faced with these types of circumstances, God reminds His people in His word that we are to continue to pray and not give up hope. Pastor Daltur Rendakasiang teaches us in Luke 18:1-8 the story of the persistent widow, reminding us not to wander from the path of righteousness.
We are quick to forget God’s many benefits in light of being in church and knowing Christ as our Savior because of our fallen nature. Are we thankful to God or are we worshipping the things that He is provided? Pastor Tony Arnold teaches the story of the ten lepers in Luke 17:11-19, reminding us that honoring God is living a life of gratitude.
What is true faith? How are we to be faithful to Jesus Christ? In being mindful of the way we live before the Lord, we have to be careful not to live in extremes- living by rules or think there is no law. Pastor Tony Arnold shares valuable wisdom in Luke 17: 1-10 reminding us how we are to humble ourselves before the Lord and remember our position as servants having a desire to please the Lord.
